About the Counts
Intersection counts of bicycle and pedestrian traffic are conducted twice a year at various locations in Knox and Blount Counties. Counts are collected manually by TPO/MPC staff. Counts are conducted from 7 – 9 a.m. and 4 – 6 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Counts are typically done in spring and fall, but some locations have been counted in summer to get additional information.

- Broadway/W Jackson
- N. 6th/Washington
- Martin Mill Pike/Moody
- Sevierville Pike/Lancaster
- Blount/Henley/Chapman
- Holston/Boyds Bridge
- Maryville-Alcoa Greenway (all 4 locations)
Greenway locations are equipped with laser counters that record the total number of bicyclists and pedestrians on a continuous basis.
